The short version, in the order you probably care about. Everything below is the whole policy; there is no longer one hidden somewhere else.

We do not store your text.
When you press Look for AI, your text is sent over an encrypted connection to our server to be scored, and it is discarded as soon as the result is sent back to you. It is not written to a disk, a database or a log. There is no history page because there is no history.

We keep counts, not content.
To hold the free daily limit, we store a count of checks per connection per day. The count is filed under a salted, one-way hash of your IP address and the date, never the address itself, and it expires after midnight UTC. Our logs record that a check ran, how many words it had and how long it took. Never the words.

No account, so nothing to leak.
We never ask for your name or email. A short, invisible check from Cloudflare Turnstile keeps bots from flooding the service; it does not tell us who you are.

Donating a text is opt-in, and not offered yet.
One day we may ask, after a result, whether you would like to give your text to our test set to help us get fairer. It will be off by default, one clear choice, and you will be able to ask us to remove it. Until then, no text is kept for any reason.
Why there are ads
Running the model costs money and there is no paid tier, so ads pay for it. The ad network sees the page you are on and sets the usual advertising cookie, the same as on most sites. It never sees the text you paste: your text goes only to our own server, and the ad slots sit outside the text box and the result.
We keep ads out of the way. One slot per page, never above the text box, never between you and the answer. Where the law asks for it, you will be asked before any advertising cookie is set. You can refuse it and the checker works exactly the same.
Analytics and the services we use
We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not follow you across sites. The site, the gate in front of the model and the daily counter run on Cloudflare. The model itself runs on our own hardware, reached through an encrypted tunnel. Fonts are served from this site, not from Google.
What we will never do
- Sell, share or train on your text.
- Build a profile of you or of what you check.
- Rewrite your text, or offer to make it slip past a detector.
- Tell anyone what you checked. We could not if we wanted to.
